“Everything is a package. And everything has a package. That's my philosophy. We pack when we talk, we pack when we listen. We pack when we love, when we hate. We pack ourselves, we pack others. We pack everything. And always.”
THE BOX is the first and the only novel in the world about packing.
The story is based on actual events. Main characters are three young man who, in the early nineties, pack diplomats that are leaving Belgrade. By becoming a part of their packing adventures, we are introduced to embassies’ lifestyle as well as the lives of young people in Belgrade (under the imposed international sanctions).
THE BOX gives you an original view of a less known, but indeed interesting world of diplomats, allows you to have a fresh, more relaxed version of “repacking” Balkans, and presents a testimony of growing up in the late 20th century.
THE BOX has locally been published by a reputable Belgrade based RENDE at the end of 2007. Third edition of the book is on its way.
